Hey guys,
I’m back from another quick trip, this time to Charlotte, NC. I played two mixed doubles exhibition matches at the Citadel Group Championships at the Palisades, as part of the Outback Champions Series.
The first match was Tim Wilkison and me v. Chanda Rubin and Jimmy Arias. It was a really close set but they ended up winning, 7-6. The second match was Karel Novacek and me v. Chanda Rubin and Tim Wilkison. It was another tight set, but we ended up winning that time, 7-6. It was a blast seeing Chanda again! As you know, we often played doubles together on the WTA tour with great results, so it was really nice to catch up with an old friend. I was very happy to see the great turnout that we had at each match, even though the weather was bad and sprinkled rain through the beginning of the first match. I thought that I played well and felt very comfortable on the court. As always, here are some behind-the-scenes pics for you!
Also, this Friday I’ll be going to Washington D.C. for the YouthAIDS’s annual gala. Annie Lennox, Ashley Judd and other stars will be there, so I’m really looking forward to it. Should be a fun night for a great cause! I’ll be sure to keep you updated.
We’ve attached pictures from my latest KSwiss shoot in Miami to this journal entry too, hope you enjoy them!
Love,
Anna
